The original Lueck/Leek/Leeak farm homestead, about 3 miles north of Warrenton, MO, was established in 1843 by Jacob Leek and Eva Geasman Leek. The 1843 forty acre tract of land was added to in 1848 and 1851 with additional adjacent forty acre parcels.
This picture(facing north) shows what I believe is Jacob and Eva's house.
In this picture(facing west) you see that the portion of the house on the left has a stone foundation. The portion of the house on the right appears to have a poured concrete foundation and so was probably added later. Family memoirs refer to their neighbor Michael Ullmer as a stonemason and his daughter Christina was to become Jacob Leeak's wife.
The ariel photo above shows the four adjacent 40 acre land tracts described in the 1843, 1848, and 1851 land patents issued to Jacob Leek. [Karen and Barbara didn't take this picture. : ) ]
